Bunch of recent Naval Academy grads go SWO tract, first duty station is aboard a couple destroyers in a carrier strike group. Some wanted to be pilots and drool over flight ops, others wanted to be aboard the carrier - but all are stuck om night watch and have hilarious conversations on the bridge(s) of their destroyers, occasionally radioing each other for pranks, meeting up on shore leave, and introducing the other random officers /enlisted they stand watches with yields double the opportunity for funny convos. Maybe one's the admiral's daughter so he's always checking in on her / her ship from his lofty position and there's a lot of cuts to folks waking up in their racks being called for duty - that sound of the curtain being yanked back and someone sticking a red flashlight in my face still haunts me (personally).
