"Band-Aid Soup"
I'm Newly assigned AGR, TNCO/Scout Section Leader our HHC. Having hot chow in the drill hall. Serving tables are set up; I grab my paper tray and step up for the classic "steamed riced and pepper steak."
Guy in front of me steps torward the cook, (Neuman shall remain nameless). The cook shovels a spoonful of rice on this E4's tray, steps down to the next canister for the pepper steak, Neuman, I mean the cook, slops a ladle of pepper steak on the guys rice and I swear to God, the guy looks down at his food and says, "Dude, that's a bandaid..." Neuman, I mean the cook looks puzzled for a split second, and says, "Huh.... there it is." Reaches into the pepper steak with his bare hands, retrieves his bandaid and nonchalantly tosses it over his shoulder and onto the kitchen floor. Looks at me and says, "Next Man!"
