I am a published author with 18 books, 4 screenplays and 4 movies. My best seller is my Memoir of my time in the Marines.
The reviews are mixed but all of the negative ones, only attacked my character, not one of them said i was wrong in my explanation of how i was treated. With that in mind i offer up a plot:
Marine 67-71. Jet Mech. Phantoms. My first night in Vietnam they transferred me to MPs. Had not handled a weapon in 2 years. Put on Gate going to Officers beach. The guy they sent me with has been there for months. Gets stoned and pisses of an Officer. Then the guy takes off running down the beach. Sergeant of the Guard shows up. When the druggy returns they take him away and leave a new guy. The jeep is barely out of sight when the new guard who has also been in country a long time, pulls out a baggy from the roof and exclaims, "I knew he would leave me some!" at the court marshal the case is continued for further review.
