A fuck up at the selective service office redrafts a 90-year-old D-Day vet into WWIII . He appeals the decision but deals with some S-1 retirees who fuck things up even worse and gets sent to an infantry unit. As he comes back to the military life style, he views post 9/11 vets as weak because he's SAVAGE AF and starts scaring the younger generation with his actions, stories, and war trophies (German ears and scalps)- he starts taking it too far until he's beating hookers, takes shits on CQs desk after they tell him that he can't bring an underage girl into the barracks, playing Russian Roulette, etc. I think it would be funny.
Stolen valor- a guy is at a bar lying about his service record, a bunch of vets hear him, and question him- by some amazing luck, this guy starts dropping a bunch of fake stories and a fake unit name that line up perfectly with the vets who heard him- he parties with them all night until the vets recognize that its stolen valor and kill him.
The IED gag gift- this is more of a commercial idea than a full show, but some terror broadcasting network comes up with an infomercial that has a fake IED gag gift that just has a recording of a goat going off when you step on it. It would feature like a bunch of U.S. soldiers and one of them steps on the IED and it just makes a goat sound the the soldiers in that field share a stupid ass "who put this here" look. I imagined that there are some other sets of IED gag gifts. One could scream Allahu Ahkbar, the other one who make noises of jodie ganging a dependa. Idk, I thought it could be pretty good
This is great stuff! The writers often come on here to read messages like this so I'm sure they will see yours soon!
I remember hearing about a guy who was living in Germany in the late 90s/early 2000s who was kind of like SGT Butts in Checkpoint Charlie. He was dying his hair black, drinking too much and chasing hookers. He was also mostly broke and living with room mates whom he drove crazy with his shenanigans. When asked why he just didn’t go back to the states he said “‘cause I helped liberate this place!” He was a WW II vet in his 90s. True story? Fuck if I know. I do know and have occasionally met guys brought back on active duty in their mid 60s for GWOT. I also know veterans of all eras could be crazy AF and nobody in their right mind tangled with them.
