Don't know if this is even a good idea, but for history buffs such as myself a series about vets through the ages from ancient times all the way through to civil war era. I think there could be some funny similarities there. What do you guys think?
Veterans Through the ages
I could see something like that, not sure how we could make them funny with the similarities. More brainstorming is needed but it could be hilarious.
Ok I will continue to think of ideas, I know there is a story of a Roman soldier who’s pay was all taken up by issued items and food rations lol🤣
I am not sure how it can be made comedic but soldiers at the lower levels of the hierarchy have always got shafted by the societies they served in all periods in history and in all parts of the world. Roman legionaries had to serve between 20 to 25 years depending on the period in Roman history. All legionaries would receive a small piece of land after their service where they could retire to farm and support themselves. But they were often fobbed off will low quality land where not much could be farmed.
I have the uniforms and equipment for soldiers from the civil war through the present. Hell I've been a consultant on a few Civil War movies and would love to do that for vet tv. I can produce the resource material from 1st hand accounts too. Think of it like meanwhile in the barracks but during various historical events and periods. Would love to see that become reality!
