The homesteading movement has been in full swing now for over a decade, largely fueled by veterans seeking the isolation and freedom that only a life in the woods can offer. veterans are on youtube and discovery channel everyday with their dedication and work ethic showing the world what it means to be Veterans Off grid.
Yeah, this would be an awesome idea, even if it was a literal documentary-style show about Vets that have already done it. I know this has been a major interest for me since I got out. But I also know how paranoid I am and how I wouldn't want to show certain stuff, so no clue how hard it would be to get Vets to want to sign up for the show. Maybe even just a show that featured different useful knowledge each episode or something.
yeah, i actually know a few. i myself have been on discovery channel on a homesteading show. honestly i wish there was a way to get a hold of the show more directly because this is really a good idea. i think it really appeals to the older generation but looking at my youtube analytics i mainly have people from 30 to 65 and mostly females. so maybe it isnt right for this platform, unless they want to really expand out of just dick jokes.
