I know we all had, at one time, to deal with the motor pool NCO, OIC, or some WO who's sole purpose was to make life hell for the troops when it comes to maintaining our vehicles.
Just an idea for a future series.
Motor pool
This could easily incorporate the involvement of a “Spec 4 mafia” aka “sham shields” of the army, expertly skating through meaningless work obligations as lower level enlisted receive the brutal force of what the big green weenie has to offer
Speaking from the opposite side of this, I was one of the troops that worked in the motor pool. Nothing was more fun than sending a new private out to change the winter air in his company commander's jeep tires and replace it with summer air.
heh yea if you think the drama in medical is bad should see the frustration and heartbreak in deployed AOs where a motorpool has to deal with battle damage, vehicle recoveries, operating 24hrs during missions, and that is not to mention the motorpools that setup in the field outside the FOBs in small bases. I ran a tool room for a while, and it was miserable job. You had to run around tracking down your tools every day, and play little games with NCOs who ouranked you and tried to pull all kinds of shenanigans, and then you had people kicking your cot at all hours of the night to get you to come down and unlock the toolroom. Ah and then people would always accuse you of having an easy job, when they only had to look at my depressed mood and red eyes from lack of sleep to see difrently. When shit came up broken or lost it was your ass, and I got into a fistfight when someone tossed a VERY expensive piece of equipment onto the ground I was signed for in a fit of rage. The best day was when I was finally tasked off of that stupid toolroom. If you guys want some hilarious vids from my time in the motorpool, I have a few and pictures too :D
