So as crazy as this sounds, it's completely true. My best buddy is a combat engineer via Marine corps and I was an Master-at-Arms in the Navy. He went to Afghanistan and built FOB's while I went to Bahrain and Sicily. Now we both ended up in Waste Water/Public Utilities Department doing an even shit-ier job. My whole time in the Navy was a crazy accident, one after another and his time in the Marine Corps was pretty standard…..I think he had a couple of kids with a stripper. Anyways, I thought it was a good n ew beginning for a few vets even though it really sucks....everyday.
Navy Vet and Marine work waste water
Oh yeah, and all the leadership is into collecting fucking hot wheels cars and other toys.....It sounds like I'm making it up but I'm not. plus there ae a ton of Stolen Valor fuckers working there...…. I know this because their stories don't add up when even talking about boot camp.
There are more specs fuckers working in waste water where I'm at then at Black Rifle Coffee Company.....no fucking joke!
Love you Matt Best and that Evan guy...……..it's not gay if it's NAVY...….underway......
Fuck you Airforce!!!!!!!...….well not all of you, I mean come on......
Dear ma3murphyw,
This is a funny set up, I to was a "waste water marine" with an engineering unit actual job was water purification specialist we sure were special ;). Anyways I volunteered for a summer at a water plant thinking about future careers and there was a large number of veterans working there. I didn't get a feeling they were lying though I was young and naive! Public works does seem like a common employment for the veteran community:
"About 1 in 3 employed veterans with a service-connected disability worked in the public sector
in August 2018, compared with about 1 in 5 veterans with no disability. (See table 8.) "[BLS]
This situation may be more common than we even know.
Best,
Ross
Yeah i gave up and I'm going into the reserve because i have no hope.......
But the next seasons look pretty good, fuck it right?
