Wow, Ok so I just joined again... I paid for the year to give you guys more of a chance. I have watched a few different shows and a few different episodes and all I could say was "WTF this really isn't that funny!"
Then I started watching "A Grunt's Life" Season 1 The first one made me chuckle as we all know that commander who can't read a map, doesn't care about obstacles, but still insists you go do BDE. I'll tell you though Episode 8 is golden!
My experience is the Army side of episode 8 but god damn you got it right! That was friggin hilarious and relatable. Even if that's the only episode I find where I think "oh hell ya!" it just became "worth it". Thanks for that! A little piece of "home" in that episode for me!

So far it's fantastic and hilarious! I love the transition you made in the mission and requirements. My 2009 deployment life was kill count! By my 3rd deployment 2012, it was all about hearts and minds. Had a 1 star sit down with us at lunch to explain that he would "rather have one of us die than another local die" and "next time they start shooting at you, break contact!" Not possible sir, they drop us off in a Helo on top of a mountain, there is no "break contact" it's kill or be killed and that's it.
This second season I am only a couple episodes in and man, I'm feeling it! "Blue on Green" was pretty much an everyday event somewhere in Afghanistan.

Oh also first deployment was Helmand so seeing alot of places mentioned that I been to. Was there while they were building Camp Leatherneck next to Bastion. https://www.globalrecon.net/articles/2016/1/6/marjeh-a-history-of-assaults was one of the teams on this one.

Coming up on the final episode of Season 2 because I'm fucking hooked. God damn! You packed so many things in season 2 it's honestly going to take more than one time through to unpack it all. Really good shit brother! hitting on all sorts of shit that had to be dealt with, from guys feeling like they're going off the deep end, to the fact that a chaplain is there taking on EVERYONE's burden. Seriously good shit! It's still funny as fuck but you got me sorting shit out in myself that I didn't quite know how or even where to even start.
