After watching the first 2 episodes of season 2, it totally brings me back to 07 when we took and entire company with a tank troop and engineer troop to root out "Taliban" in a local village. The local ANP commander tipped off the command back in KAF that their was a bomb making facility, and multiple Taliban in the village. We head out, leaguer up all the LAV's, Leopards, and RG's. Off goes the company and support pers to do a presence patrol in the hopes of locating this bomb factory, they spend 7 hrs walking out to, through, and back to the leaguer and found shit. Fast forward a few weeks we are ripping out to end our tour. Talk with my Int friend who informs me that the entire thing was set up by the ANP commander so he could bully the village into paying him more protection.
